More than 80 renewable energy and energy-adjacent events are planned across Africa from September to November this year. A majority focus on finance and investment in renewables. Forums like the African Energy Week, ESG Impact Investing Summit, and Finance Inclusive Conferences all showcase the vital role of capital mobilisation for growth in the sector.

• Our monthly list also features specialised summits on off-grid systems and decentralised energy solutions that address Africa’s unique energy access challenges.

• South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria will collectively host more than 70% of the events. Emerging hotspots include Tanzania, Tunisia, Ghana, Gambia, Rwanda and Libya.
